Message from the CEO

Greetings!

Einstein appreciates the trust our parents have in providing children with a competitive education in a safe, respectful, caring and clean school environment.

Einstein has been recognized nationally by the United States Department of Education for replicating “High Quality Charter Schools” and the Coalition of Schools Educating Boys of Color for bridging the learning gap and increasing overall student achievement.

EinsteinCOSEBOC Charter Schools was one of the first PreK-8 open admissions elementary schools east of the Industrial Canal to earn the distinction of a “B” school (since Katrina.) This success led us to found our second school Einstein Extension. After completing its first year, Einstein Extension (now Einstein Charter School Sherwood Forest) became the first school in state history to go from an “F” grade to a “B” in one school year. Einstein’s outstanding test scores were a determining factor in meriting this honor.

Constantly growing, improving and innovating, Einstein opened Einstein Charter Middle in 2015 and Einstein Charter High in 2016 at Sarah Towles Reed on Michoud Blvd. Einstein was awarded this facility after a competitive selection process. We attribute this victory to our unparalleled record of achievement in open admissions schools and unwavering community support. For the fifth consecutive year, Einstein 8th grade students in Algebra 1 had a 100% passage rate on the end of course exam!

CEO 9th GrNone of this would be possible without the continuous hard work and exceptional level of professionalism from Einstein’s top-notch teaching staff. Their ability to sow a love for knowledge, uphold high expectations for behavior, meet individual student needs and build lifelong relationship is inspiring. They are the bedrock upon which Einstein is built.

Our strategy of exceptional teaching from a school of invested teachers continues to make Einstein rise to the top. Our ELL program remains the largest and most successful in New Orleans. The cultural diversity inherent to our student body provides a vibrance and sense of optimism like none other!

If you have yet to have the chance to learn about Einstein, I invite you to peruse our website or stop by for a tour. Observing our teachers and students is often the best way to decide if our school community is the right fit for your family. I promise you will be delighted.

Sincerely,

Shawn Toranto
