Martha C. McKnight
Executive Director of Strategy
Martha McKnight has 32 years of experience in development and nonprofit leadership. She moved to New Orleans in 1989 after graduating from Yale to work for the Arts Council and went on to serve the LEH, NOCCA, Tulane University, FirstLine, and the Foundation for Science and Math Education (Sci High). Martha joined EGI’s staff as Development Director in 2017 before assuming her new position. She serves on various nonprofit boards and enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 children, and annoying Italian greyhound.
Chief Operations Officer
Darius holds degrees from Tulane University (B.A. 2006) and DePaul University (M.S. 2011). He has 8 years of school finance and operations experience and is a certified Louisiana School Business Official. Darius is committed to handling everything in the background so that principals and teachers can remain focused on what they do best. When he is not loudly banging away at an Excel file, he can be found running the streetcar line, or cleaning clogged catch basins.
Anna Faye Caminita, Ed.D
Chief Academic Officer
Dr. Caminita holds degrees from Our Lady of Holy Cross College (B.S. 1992 and M.Ed. 1999) and Walden University (Ed.D. 2011). She has a current Type A lifetime teaching certificate and is certified as a Louisiana State Superintendent. She has served as a teacher, principal, chief academic officer, and distinguished educator for the Louisiana State Department of Education. Dr. Caminita has a proven track record of success fostering student academic growth and the growth of School Performance Scores since 2003 in Type 4 and 5 charter schools. She was trained by the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching and often serves as a consultant targeting data tracking and leader development.
Interim Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Davis is a graduate of Tulane University and McGill University’s Faculty of Law (B.A. 2007; LL.B./B.C.L. 2010). He is a former classroom teacher and grant writer. As a law student Mr. Davis edited a legal research journal and was promoted to Executive Director of a legal clinic in Montreal. Mr. Davis came to education after clerking for judges in Florida and New York. He now specializes in developing charter schools in New Orleans.
Chief Financial Officer
Dr. Guidry received his doctorate of dentistry and oral medicine, prior to practicing for many years as a dentist specializing in oral surgery (L.S.U. 1971). He joined Einstein Charter School in 2007. Prior to working in his current role, Dr. Guidry was a small business owner/operator. Dr. Guidry’s commitment to improving charter school finances for predictable and smooth operation is unparalleled.
