New Orleans families can apply anytime until the application process closes on Jan. 29. 2021. Earlier application submissions are not given more weight; the OneApp match occurs at the same time for all Main Round applications submitted before the deadlines.

Families need to submit a OneApp application for the 2021-2022 school year, if their student meets any of the following criteria:

  • The student is new to New Orleans or new to public schools.

  • The student is seeking to transfer from their current school to a new school for the 2021-2022 school year.

  • The student is in a transitional grade, meaning their current school does not offer their expected grade next school year.

  • The student is enrolled in a program that requires an application to continue, this information will be communicated to you by your child’s school.
